Boycott FAKE Organic Products

An article by www.dailykos.com

Hate to break it to you, but there are some so-called "organic" personal care products out there that aren't really organic and actually contain hazardous ingredients that would never be allowed in products certified to USDA organic standards.

Do you use "Jason Pure, Natural & Organic," "Avalon Organics," "Kiss My Face Obsessively Organic," "Nature's Gate Organics," "Stella McCartney 100% Organic Active Ingredients," "Giovanni Organic," "Head Organics," "Eminence Organic," "Physicians Formula Organic," or "Good Stuff Organics," "Desert Essence Organics" or any "organic cosmetic" certified by Ecocert?

They're all fakers!

The Organic Consumers Association's Coming Clean campaign has launched a boycott of cosmetics that claim to be organic, but aren't certified to organic standards as required by law. Here are letters from consumers explaining why they've joined the boycott. If you'd like to tell your own story, click here.

(Why is the USDA allowing products that aren't certified to call themselves organic? We don't know, but we're trying to get them to enforce the law for cosmetics, as they already do for food. You can help us keep the pressure on the USDA's National Organic Program by taking action here.)
