Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation

When I was little I used to act in plays.  I loved getting my makeup done by the moms back stage!  They would take some type of large puff and apply a shade of face powder that was about two shades too light.  Then they would apply a thick coat of wet and wild turquoise eye shadow, loads of coral blush, and a bright magenta lipstick.  I thought the look absolutely gorgeous!  I especially loved getting dressed in my normal clothes after the play, while still wearing the loads of ridiculous makeup.  I thought for sure someone on the street or in the restaurant we went to afterwards would think… wow that girl must be someone special… maybe a famous actress, a model perhaps, a news reporter?

I still love getting all dolled up.  On most days, I only wear under eye concealer, a natural blush, some cream gold shimmery eye shadow, a light gloss and sometimes eye liner.  (I know some of you are reading this thinking, wow G… that is still a lot of makeup - Well hello!  I love the stuff!) I save the primer, foundation, powder and mascara for special occasions!  I always say… take a break from heavy makeup when you can!  Your skin needs to time breathe!  Breathe my friend… Breathe! (say this in the accent of older Russian man who is wearing a ushanka hat (one of those big furry hats))

One of my favorite foundations, that I have been using for the past two years, is the Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation.  If you have fairly good skin, and want a lighter foundation that illuminates, try this one!

Benefits of the Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation:

  • Great Consistency: This foundation applies like a moisturizer.  It is a light weight formula that glides on your face effortlessly.  It applies like butta!
  • Sheer Coverage: The sheer to medium coverage, covers your minor flaws and gives you an even skin tone
  • Gorgeous Glow: The foundation is infused with Mica, a mini crystal found in nature.  It gives you that natural dewey glow!  How brilliant!

This foundation retails for around $38.  I have also used the Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation.  This powder is good on the go.  I recommend the foundation over the powder - if you are looking for that dewey fresh look.  The power leaves your face a bit more matt.

Your gonna look brilliant!

Hugs,

G
