Le Perfect Curl. Hai, Hai!

As luck would have it, I had a photo shoot (it's totally legit) at my house today, and of course I had to sit and chat with the hair and makeup to get all the best-est tips. Here's a great lash insight from the makeup artist, Jordy Poon from the Rita Hazan Salon : If you want your lashes to curl (with the curler, of course), use a lighter mascara otherwise the curl will not hold. He recommends (as do I as my 3rd favorite mascara) Shu Uemura Ultimate Expression Mascara ($23) paired with Kevyn Aucoin's The Eyelash Curler ($20). He said the light and natural formula on the mascara keeps lashes shaped, while the mechanical action on the Kevyn Aucoin is superior to the famous Shu Uemura eyelash curlers. I personally don't curl my lashes, but I know lots of people who do. Another tip: Replace that piece of metal eyelash curler once in a while-- the spring action really does die down after repeated use and you won't get the same oomph out of your efforts.
