Bigelow Rosebud Salve - No More Chapped Lips!!!

I have struggled with dry skin my entire life. My lips are especially dry during the winter. I’m one of those people constantly applying gloss, chapstick, balm, and salve to calm my lips! One particular salve that I have been quite faithful to for the past 4 years is Bigelow Rosebud Salve. Apparently CO Bigelow has had this product around for almost a century. The same formula for almost 100 years!!! This shiz must be good!!! I bought this Salve for R before she went on her Honeymoon to Morocco. (Send your thoughts R!!!) I’ve been through many tins of Bigelow Rosebud Salve. I use it first thing after I get out of the shower in the morning and I apply it quite generously before I go to bed. As I’ve said before, while you are sleeping and dreaming of happy things, your skin is regenerating and repairing itself. This is the perfect time for you to moisturize your lips. You wake up with such pretty plump soft lippies! I also apply the salve to my cuticles and paper cuts. I have horrendously dry hands!

I’ve also purchased the Bigelow Rose Salve, which comes in the pink tin… but didn’t like the smell as much. It almost smells like a rose flavored peda (an Indian sweet) that has been sitting in a Tupperware box for way too long. I know weird reference, but that is just how it smells to me. I highly recommend the Bigelow Rosebud scent over the rose.

The Salve retails for around $6.99. You can purchase the tin at any Bath and Body Works store location.

Take care of your lips!

Hugs,
G

  2. I loved it! It was the perfect present. It has the nicest smell and a fantastic glide:stickiness ratio. I can't remember now - does it give you the white film? I don't think so though. Only problem is it is slightly unsanitary (trust me, I'm a microbiologist) to use with your fingers, so I'd apply it by making out with it. Because of that problem, I am alternating between Kiehl's lip balm and Dermalogica's climate control stick.

  3. I totally agree about the cesspools of bacteria that live in pots of gloss.
